Mission and audience
Lead the buying and selling of collectibles and other suitable items. Build an organized operation around sourcing, accurate descriptions, pricing, listings, customer service, and delivery, with charitable giveaways included in the work.
Your three responsibilities
Outstanding Opportunity
Recruit selectively when the operation needs help with sourcing, inventory, photography, listings, sales, packing, or delivery. Recruiting is a smaller part of this role than it is for the other parties. Add people where their contribution supports the actual buying and selling work.
Financially Fiscal (invest in yourself)
Lead purchases and sales within the authority agreed with Brett. Identify suitable items, maintain accurate inventory and condition information, coordinate listings, and follow orders through payment and delivery. Present collectibles and other merchandise honestly and bring pricing or purchasing decisions outside the assigned limits to Brett.
Charitable Contributions
Organize charitable giveaways of suitable items and coordinate with the nonprofit receiving or distributing them. Identify what can be given, confirm the intended recipient and purpose, and record the handoff. Coordinate incoming donated items where they fit an approved charitable arrangement.
How you lead the work
- Know what is available, ready to list, held for review, sold, or designated for a giveaway.
- Coordinate photographs, condition descriptions, and authenticity checks appropriate to each item.
- Keep buyers informed and resolve order, packing, delivery, and service issues through the agreed process.
- Develop useful dealer, collector, sourcing, and resale relationships while keeping purchases and stock records current.
Results you report
Report items bought and sold, orders completed, inventory issues, and charitable items given or received. Report recruiting only where extra help is actually needed.
